Where Poets & Intellectuals Gathered for a Cup of Coffee in Lisbon
Café A Brasileira
I’ve been feeling a bit gloomy lately, maybe it’s the London weather or maybe I just need to go out and explore a little more. So I’ve been looking at my old travel photos and my favorite travel destinations and I stumbled upon this photo. I miss Lisbon and it was such an amazing weekend trip with a girlfriend (which I blogged about here).
On our second day of the trip it started to pour out raining and we hurried into Café A Brasileira which is an infamous cafe for artists, poets, and intellectuals to gather. The interior is beautiful with paintings and a rich history over 100 years. By the entrance of the cafe they have a status of Fernando Pessoa a poet who often visited the cafe.
I liked their espresso but I prefer egg tarts from Pastéis de Belém
