Weekend in Lisbon
Hey guys~ I went on a weekend trip to Lisbon a week ago and had a blast. My friend and I booked a flight from London to Lisbon and it was so refreshing to have some girl time and to forget all the stresses in life just for the weekend. We booked cheap flights through skyscanner (which I used to book cheap flights to Copenhagen as well) and found an amazing and affordable flat in the hart of the city through Airbnb. As you guys can probably tell, I love traveling and finding affordable flights 😉
Day 1
Restaurant Alpendre // R. Augusto Rosa 34, 2715-311, Portugal
Our Airbnb host introduced us to this authentic Portugal restaurant which we loved. The waiter at Restaurant Alpendre was very friendly and funny and the food was amazing. After stuffing ourselves, we walked around the city to burn off some calories. Lisbon was surprisingly small and easy to walk around. Just remember to wear comfortable shoes as the streets are bumpy with lots of steep hills.
Church of Santo António // R. Pedras Negras 1, 1100-401 Lisboa, Portugal
I love these cute trams! I took so many photos of these cuties and even posted on my instagram 😉
Rua Augusta Arch // R. Augusta 2, 1100-053 Lisboa, Portugal
Day 2
The beautiful Rua Augusta Arch in daylight.
Padrão dos Descobrimentos // Av. Brasília, 1400-038 Lisboa, Portugal
Belém Tower // Av. Brasília, 1400-038 Lisboa, Portugal
Belém Tower was absolutely beautiful.. 🙂
And another cute photo of this coca-cola tram! 😀
Jerónimos Monastery was beautiful and there was a wedding going on. Can you see the bride? 😉
Jerónimos Monastery // Praça do Império 1400-206 Lisboa, Portugal
Monument to the Overseas Combatants
Pastéis de Belém // R. Belém 84-92, 1300-085 Lisboa, Portugal
Best egg tarts ever! We had so many custards in Lisbon and yet, I’m still missing it. Pastéis de Belém definitely had the best egg tarts ever!
pretty street art 🙂
so apparently they say Lisbon is a romantic place… we didn’t realize this until we saw the sunset from São Jorge Castle… Sorry hubby! I’ll take you next time 😉
São Jorge Castle // R. de Santa Cruz do Castelo, 1100-129 Lisboa, Portugal
Ginjinha // 1100 026, Praça Dom Pedro IV 71, Lisboa, Portugal
The infamous Ginjinha! There was a long line of people waiting for this €1 shot of this cherry wine
The Decadente Restaurante & Bar // R. São Pedro de Alcântara 81, 1250-238 Lisboa, Portugal
Day 3
And my last photo of a cute tram 😉
Pastéis de bacalhau
I’m not sure if I loved this Pastéis de bacalhau but I there was a long line of people so I had to try 🙂
And we had brunch before leaving… I’m sad I didn’t get the name of this cafe! They had amazing coffee and croissant 🙂
Fabulous! I’ve been meaning to visit Lisbon for quite a few years now. It looks lovely.
